Carpet Cleaning – How to take care of the fiber

Polyester 
There are many vacuum cleaners available in the market. However, one that is approved by the authorities such as the Seal of Approval (SOA) would be official. At home, application of strong alkaline or bleaches can be very effective as it does not adversely impact the dye in the polyester. However, polyester fiber is quite resilient. The polyester fiber can withstand all kinds of cleaning, however, absorbent pad extraction and bonnet cleaning should be avoided. 
Triexta 
Triexta carpet is quite common and elegant as well. However, the texture of it remains a challenge. The approved vacuum cleaner with soft brushes could be very effective. As far as the cleaning is considered, water rinse extraction is the best suited along with absorbent compound extraction. Detergent should be avoided for cleaning of this fiber for better results. 
Nylon 
Nylon fiber generally holds the texture. However, cleaning the nylon carpet fiber should be done very carefully. Anything apart from water rinse extraction can be extremely harmful. Absorbent pad extraction could be the most dangerous and can also violate the manufacturer’s warranty. So, make sure to read the instructions before cleaning it. 
Olefin 
Olefin needs special care. The olefin is quite sensitive to heat. Also, if you move heavy objects such as desks through the carpet, they can be permanently damaged. The ultraviolet rays can be very harmful to the carpet as well. It is thus very important to use the UV technologies with quite a caution. It is not as resilient as other fibers hence should be dealt with carefully. It can however withstand different types of cleaning. 
Wool 
The wool fibers of the carpets are different than others. Whenever you are using a product on the wool fiber, make sure to use a wool-safe product. It can be cleaning powder or the vacuum, the wool fiber has compatible products. Please read the instruction from the manufacturers. It can be acidic or alkaline in nature. Ensure you treat the wool fiber accordingly. The buffered detergents are known to be not so good cleaning agent for the fiber. 
Rayon 
Rayon has become a very common fiber these days. These are best suited for dry cleaning. The vacuuming with approved products obviously helps the fiber as well.
